Mr. Meckley's Service was held on the 17th with
both flags (regular and Sunday championship) on the green at half-staff. The flags in front of the TPC Clubhouse were also at half-staff.


Shannon and David walked Mr. Meckley's 2 golf
bags up the walkway, which was lined by 65 golf course employees

(Left to Right) Jim Kearce, Pete Davison, John McKay and Shannon Meckley... Jim and John opened the service with "Amazing Grace" acappela.


Pete Davison (pictured on right) eulogized his dear friend Mr. Meckley.

Fred Klauk eulogized Mr. Meckley, his close friend.
Mr. Klauk did a beautiful job of setting up the 17th
for the service.

Erin and Amy each received a $500 scholarship from
the Dick Meckley 17th Green Golf Fund.

Ross, pictured right, who mowed the 17th green with Mr. Meckley, received a $1000 scholarship for the golf course maintenance crew.

David eulogized his father, followed by Mr. Meckley's good friend Bobby Clampet.

Mr. Meckley's 2 golf bags were walked down the ramp and loaded onto a golf cart as his son David played and dedicated the video song "T-I-M-E" to Mr. Meckley. A man wore Mr. Meckley's hat and drove the cart around the 17th tee, down the 16th fairway, and into the trees as the song ended.

Javier Lopez asked Meck to hang this hat, which he signed for Mr. Meckley, on the floral arrangement he was sending.

Mr. Meckley's green mower and hat sit beside the cross of red flowers Javier Lopez sent in honor of Mr. Meckley... Javier Lopez also donated $1000 to the Dick Meckley 17th Green Golf Fund.

 

The TPC gave a luncheon in honor of Mr. Meckley following
the end of the service. Thanks to Pete Davison, Fred Klauk, Mike Sullivan, and all of Mr. Meckley's friends at the TPC for making this day so beautiful.
